Which slipper manufacturing process is the most durable?
发布时间:2026-04-24
Molded injection molding is currently the most durable slipper manufacturing process, particularly well-suited for long-term wear and high-intensity use.
Molding process
Made from rubber or SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber), the sole is vulcanized and molded at high temperatures (160–180°C), resulting in a three-dimensional cross-linked network molecular structure that imparts exceptionally high tear strength (0.85–1.1 MPa) and excellent fatigue resistance. This structural design ensures that the slipper maintains dimensional stability even under prolonged standing and frequent flexing, while its abrasion resistance is approxicushionely 25% higher than that achieved through injection molding.
Its core advantages include:
High durability: The vulcanized rubber sole is oil-resistant, water-resistant, and resistant to aging, making it less prone to cracking and lasting 2–3 times longer than ordinary slippers.
Excellent slip resistance: Thanks to a micron-level tread pattern, the static coefficient of friction on wet and slippery surfaces can reach 0.6–0.8, significantly higher than the 0.35–0.45 typical of injection-molded slippers.
Even pressure distribution across the sole: During an 8-hour standing test, molded slippers provided a more balanced pressure distribution on the foot compared with injection-molded models, thereby reducing fatigue.
